KOH Library February Closures

The KOH Library will be closed February 9, 16, and 17th, 2014

Michael Boussina Inclusion Project - Scholar in Residence Weekend

February 28, March 1 & 2 - Michael Boussina Inclusion Project presents a scholar in residence weekend on inclusion and disabilities with special guest Dr. Leonard Felder. Dr Felder is a license psychologist and author.  He has given workshops at numerous congregations nationwide and has appeared on Oprah, The Today Show, and CNN (to name a few).  He is the parent of a child with special needs and is active in helping families, schools, and communities to be more empowering for children and adults with learning differences.

Topics will include "Mindfulness Methods for Being Less Stressed & More Effective with Special Needs Family Members", "Creating More Inclusive & Welcoming Gatherings", "How to Benefit From Being Different" (and more). Contact Taliah Berger (MBIP Director) for more information.

KOH Book Club - February


February 18, 2014 - 7 p.m. - KOH Book Club.  This month Soni Meyer will lead us in a discussion of the book, "Rachel Calof's Story: Jewish Homesteader on the Northern Plains".  Newcomers always welcome!

Michael Boussina Inclusion Project Program


February 4, 2014 - The Michael Boussina Inclusion Project presents a program on "Inclusion and Children with Special Needs" from 2 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. for the Shalom School upper grades, parents, grandparents and the community. Ideas for mitzvah and tikkum olam projects will be presented as well as the Israel Museum's Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit. Contact Taliah Berger (MBIP Director) for more information.

KOH Book Club

December 17th at 7 p.m. This will be our last meeting of 2013.  We will have our annual book exchange, treats, and the choosing of our books for 2014.

KOH Puzzler Club

Our next meeting of the KOH Puzzler Club will be Sunday, December 8th. We will be meeting at 11:00 a.m. because of the California Marathon. The roads around the library should all be open by 11 a.m. so everyone will be able to come to our meeting.


Come join us as we attempt to master cryptic crossword puzzles with our master puzzler, Dwight Freund.

KOH Art Gallery - Currently exhibiting the paintings of Michael Mulcahy.  The vivid acrylic on canvas paintings of Hamzas, Landscapes and Marabouts are for sale and discounted 20% through the end of this exhibit. A portion of the sale proceeds will benefit KOH Library and Cultural Center.
